Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was born on the 10th of March 1949. She is an American investor and speaker as well as consultant. The Corcoran Group, an NY-based real estate broker was started by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran later left the business. Corcoran is one of ABC's first Shark investors has been part of every episode of Shark Tank. As of February 2020, she's signed 53 deals with the show, with the biggest one being $350,000 to purchase 40% of Coverplay. Corcoran, who was the second of 10 children from a Catholic family with a low-income was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. [8] Her mother, Florence, was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father through Corcoran's childhood. The family relied on free food deliveries from a local grocer. Corcoran claims her father was a drunken man who treated her mother with disrespectful and disrespect. Corcoran struggled at school, and was later told that she was dyslexic. Corcoran was educated at an Catholic elementary school, and later began high school in Englewood at St. Cecilia High School. Corcoran graduated from Leonia High School with a diploma in English, despite having failed several classes during her first year.
